Phil Flournoy
Bulverde Baptist Church
Associate Pastor missions/outreach
Phil grew up on an island in Brasil (that is not a typo – that is the way Brasilians spell it!) playing a lot of soccer and fishing a lot, as the son of Baptist missionaries. Phil returned to Brasil, upon finishing college and seminary studies, as a missionary to build prefab chapels. Having earned his way through seminary roofing houses, he occasionally serves as the chief operator of his Lone Gringo Roofing Company. For the last 32 years, he has been on staff at Bulverde Baptist Church where he started as minister of youth and music. Currently, he serves as Associate Pastor missions/outreach. His 'claim to fame' in Bulverde, is directing the Upward Basketball program for the 24th year, through which over 5200 kids have played. He is on the SHARE board (previous Pregnancy Care Center), as well as, the Christian Men of Business board.
