Tom Reed has been a leader of people for 60 years as a Sargent in the Marine Corps in charge of Radio and Radar communications for a MATCU, IBM Branch manager, IBM General Manager for Service and Support, Coca-Cola Enterprises Corporate Manager Cold Drink Operations, five different church boards, and two non-profit organizations.

During my IBM career I have been recognized with two IBM Director’s awards, an IBM Vice President’s award, and sponsored by IBM to attend Colgate University. During my Coca-Cola career I was responsible for the performance of sales and service operations for Cold Drink. During that time I developed and implemented an advanced training package for Operations managers in the US and Canada.

I have been married to my wife Berniece for 60 years, and starting with the Marine Corps we have moved 8 times. During those moves, I have attended 5 colleges part time in South Carolina, Illinois, and New York. We have attended five different churches, where I have been a Bible Study Leader, Committee Chairperson, a Church Board Member, and Board President.

 

I am also a Stephen Minister, and a Certified Methodist Lay Minister. We have two children who are active in their church, and five grandchildren scattered in Texas, Florida, and New Mexico.
