Comal County Chapter Lead
Marcus Breaux is a native Texan who grew up in the Killeen/Fort Hood community. He attended a local area public school and is a graduate of C. E. Ellison High School -- go Screaming Eagles! Upon graduation, Marcus decided his future path laid within the United States military and joined the Air Force at 19. He chose to be a part of Air Force Space Command where he served honorably for 9 years.
During his military time, Marcus pursued higher education and after several years earned an Associates in Information Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, an Associates in Business, and a Bachelors of Business from Colorado Technical University. It was during this time in 2009 that he had his first interaction with the messiah, Jesus, and decided to make a commitment to follow Christ.
After 10 years in Colorado as a veteran and space systems contractor, the time had come to return to the great state of Texas! During the transition down to Texas, Marcus came to a more committed relationship with the Savior and decided to live life more on Christ’s terms instead of his own. It was through this formational period that Marcus became an ordained minister, becoming a chaplain in 2016.
Being obedient to the will of God in their lives, the Breaux family embarked on a totally different direction trusting the Holy Spirit to close the doors that needed to be closed and opening the doors that needed to be opened. In 2019, now Chaplain Marcus accepted a position as a hospice chaplain.
This position allowed the Breaux family the opportunity to be exposed to full-time ministry, a direction that God had placed on the heartstrings of the family. In early 2020, through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Holy Spirit pressed upon the heart of the Breaux family and the Soldiers of Christ ministry was born.
Through Soldiers of Christ, the Breaux family has delivered numerous meals to elderly people on home health and hospice care. During the fall of 2020, Marcus accepted the calling to become the chapter lead for Comal County through Cross Trail Outfitters, where the focus is to guide the next generation of youth to Christ through the outdoors.
Chaplain Marcus is supported in ministry by his wife of 16 years, Natalie, and their 5 children. His ultimate desire is to see people fully embrace a holy living God and walk worthy in their day-to-day lives while experiencing the fullness of God’s promises.
